Who is Samara Local Fishing
Samara Local Fishing charter was founded by the couple Frank and Christiane in 2013.
While Frank is your captain and bilingual fishing guide, Christiane is in charge of their website and communication.
…AND we are more than just a charter. Frank is also a surf fishing enthusiast and loves to share his Costa Rican fishing knowledge with you.
Frank is a passionate and professional local fisherman. He offers you the opportunity to make use of the local knowledge acquired by fishing in the area of Sámara for a long time. As a native he knows the waters and great fishing spots, introducing you to a true Costa Rican fishing experience.
Frank has been fishing his whole life. It is not just a random hobby. It’s a way of life he enjoys to share with fishing enthusiasts and anglers from all over the world. Besides fishing on the boat, his favorite thing to do is surf fishing and exploring the mountains of the area. Since he used to surf a lot when he was younger he still goes to catch some waves sometimes. Frank is also a father of 2 sons and loves spending with his family.
Christiane, Digital Marketer
Christiane was born and raised in Germany. In 2010 she relocated to Sámara where she met Frank.
The past 10 years she had been working as the marketing head at the local Spanish immersion school in Sámara, Intercultura Costa Rica. Together with a good friend and business partner she recently started her own Web Design & Digital Marketing Studio.
When not working she enjoys spending time with her two sons and husband Frank. She loves the beach, yoga and swimming in the ocean.
Fernando, born and raised in the village of Esterones near Sámara, was taught how to fish with a handline by his father from an early age.
He later became interested in sport fishing and moved to Playa Herradura, where he got his fishing and boat license and worked at the Los Sueños Resort and Marina as a deckhand on a fishing charter.
Fernando joined the Samara Local Fishing Crew last year and has been Frank’s deckhand since then.
When Fernando is not on the boat or on the shore fishing, he likes to go surfing.
