Jan 2017 Fishing Report – Samara Beach

Here is a little summary of the past month. January was a very good fishing month with lots of different kind of fish. Check out pictures below.

Water had been more blue, mostly calm, some windy mornings. The current was pretty slow, but is picking up now in February. Inshore was better than offshore. Offshore is getting better now. Inshore, we stayed about 3  to 5 miles from shore, and offshore, we went from 10 to 25 miles out.

We caught nice Wahoo, Yellow fin, Rooster, Mahi, Sailfish, some bottom fish like Grouper, Snapper and others.

Marlins have been around. We saw dolphins, turtles and whales are around as well.

We had clients from all over the world: Canada, USA, White Russia and Sweden. It was a pleasure of getting to know them all and taking them fishing in Costa Rica.
